Projecting weavings onto architecture began in 2015 as a remedy for bleak public spaces during winter. A gesture to warm up, even “tuck in” a shadowy and cold area at night. The original weavings, rather small, were honored by their exposure to the public eye, forming a reciprocal relationship with the space on which they were projected. A narrative about bringing overlooked or hidden subjects to the public eye emerged. As this project continues, it is becoming more and more about femininity and its presence in the public realm. Projections have occurred in Providence, RI and Charlottesville, VA.
